Getting Started Guide

This guide will take you through the steps you’ll need to go through when you log in for the first time. Just follow the quick steps and you’ll be making some awesome pages in no time!

STEP 1

Configure Site Settings

You shouldn’t need to change anything except for the following fields:

• Site Title
• Tagline
• Email Address
• Timezone

Hit the SAVE CHANGES button and close the window.

STEP 2

Configure Theme Options

You shouldn’t need to change anything except for the following fields:

• Logo
• Favicon
• Color Pickers Default Palette
• Facebook Profile Url (if needed)
• Twitter Profile Url (if needed)
• Google+ Profile Url (if needed)

Hit the SAVE CHANGES button and close the window.

STEP 3

Customize Your Theme

Go through all the settings in the Theme Customizer to customize how you want your site to look.

Hit the SAVE button and close the window.

STEP 4

Configure the Bloom Plugin

Add your email marketing provider and integrate your mailing list into your website.

Hit the SAVE CHANGES button and close the window.

Or, simply skip this step if you don’t need this feature.

STEP 5

Configure the Monarch Plugin

Set up how you want social sharing icons to appear on your website.

Hit the SAVE CHANGES button and close the window.

Or, simply skip this step if you don’t need this feature.

STEP 6

Start Creating Pages

Go to your Pages and follow the tutorials below, or in the Consciousites Knowledgebase to create your pages.

In a nutshell, follow these simple steps:

1. Go to Your Pages
2. Click on a page you want to edit
3. Click the blue ‘Use Visual Builder’ button
4. Start editing your page

Again, PLEASE spend some time to familiarize yourself with the page builder by taking a look at these tutorials.

STEP 7

Creating Posts

Creating blog posts is pretty much the same as with Pages, however usually a simpler text-based layout is best.

In a nutshell, follow these simple steps:

1. Go to Your Posts. (There are already sample posts created. You can delete, or just modify the info on those pages.)
2. Click on a post you want to edit
3. Click the blue ‘Use Visual Builder’ button
4. Start editing your page

STEP 8

Edit Menus

Editing your menu is really simple. Just visit the menus page and configure them.
